    In a private setting, a client’s focus on one’s self is more intensified, which makes the YOSSUM Process even more powerful.

    This is an intensive, highly structured weeklong process in which you will be guided to focus on yourself and yourself only. This private retreat is suited for beginners, intermediate and advanced yoga students as it is tailor-made according to your level and readiness to move on to your next step. It has been designed for people interested in an honest self-exploration and in deepening their understanding of Yoga in its entirety. The four pillars of the YOSSUM Process—Yoga Asana Practice, Silence Practice, Self-Understanding and Meditation—will form the foundation of your personal growth during the private retreat.

    This week is created to be experienced alone. A certain maturity towards your process of discovery is necessary. It is a beautiful and very powerful week and it requires your commitment and readiness to follow the guidelines suggested. At the end of the week you can expect to come out feeling more centered and with a broader understanding of your body, mind and heart.

    Self-Understanding & Meditation Guidance with Ma Prem Kali

    Ma Prem Kali will be your guide and therapist throughout your week of discovery, meeting you on the first day for an introduction talk and orientation to her unique YOSSUM Process. Every detail that is important for you to gain as much from your retreat as possible has been considered.

    Kali will give you clear instruction and gentle guidance on how to meditate. She will help you develop a foundation of practice if you are a beginner, or clarify any doubts you may have about your own sitting practice if you are experienced. Additionally, she will monitor your on-going progress during the week and offer continued support and recommendations to improve your meditation when necessary.

    At retreat’s end, most participants feel the greatest gifts they received were Kali’s 1 to 1 Self-Understanding Sessions. You will experience her remarkably effective two-fold therapeutic method, which combines her unique no-nonsense spiritual guidance—drawing upon 14 years of study and practice in Asia with four great spiritual masters—and her own, personally designed Self-Understanding Concept, rooted in over 20 years of therapeutic training and practice.

    Silence Practice

    Silence Practice in many traditions is considered a spiritual practice in its own right. On your YOSSUM Private Retreat, Silence Practice is sustained for 24 hours, or as recommended by Kali for your particular case. Clients invariably gain so much from this beautiful time in silence because they can focus even more deeply on themselves and their life. Doubt, cloudy thinking and confusion give way to clarity of mind and openness of heart.

    Yoga Asana Private Classes with Lori Sjollema

    The one-on-one, detailed adjustments and personal guidance are the biggest advantages you get with the private yoga classes included in your private retreat. This is when you have the chance to clarify any doubts you may have about your own yoga asana or pranayama (breathing) practice, so please come with all your questions and concerns.

    Lori is a very gifted, dedicated and experienced yoga teacher.
    Students comment often about Lori's shining spirit and amazingly supportive and gentle adjustments. She will help you with any asana posture that you need guidance with or that you currently find challenging.

    Additionally, during your private sessions with Lori, she will teach you a well-rounded 25 minute yoga practice that you can follow when you return home.

    Yoga Asana Group Classes

    Your private retreat schedule includes 3 Yoga Asana Group Classes at a yoga studio just 2 minutes walk away from the lovely and quiet Club Sierra apartment complex where you will be living.

    Optional Transformative Rolf Sessions
    Rolf Method of Structural Integration with Heath Wilson (Package 1)

    Rolf Sessions re-balance your body leading to significant, long-lasting postural improvements and pain reduction via precise manual manipulation of the client's connective tissue. There are no adjustments of the bones involved, although the skeletal system becomes more aligned. Movement awareness education is part of Rolf Sessions, which helps clients maintain the beneficial changes produced by the manual part of the session.

    Rolf Sessions are an ideal compliment to the YOSSUM Process. They improve your yoga asana practice, breathing and meditation posture, but also, and more significantly, Rolf Sessions in many ways are the bodywork equivalent to Kali's Self-Understanding Sessions. Both strive to uncover the root-cause of imbalance. Working on the inner and outer aspects of who you are simultaneously facilitates even deeper and quicker beneficial shifts at an integrative level of the Self.

    Package 1 clients will receive 3 Transformative Rolf Sessions with Heath, which is an optimal level of structural work of this kind in a retreat environment. Heath has been working professionally as a Rolf Practitioner for over 13 years.

    Optional Massage Therapy with Marjan Looije (Package 1)

    Additionally, Package 1 clients will receive 2 deeply relaxing sessions of massage therapy with Marjan. She is very skilled and experienced. You will be able to discuss with Marjan what type of massage therapy would best suit your needs, as she is trained and adept at several massage modalities.
